Buenísimas tardes todos!

Mandatory selfie for mom.

Okay. Lets get started with the Journal Entry blog letter.

Monday we learned how to make shampoo with sabila. I think that means aloe. I'm still not entirely sure. But apparently its supposed to help your hair grow faster and not fall out as much. Guess we'll see if it works.

Making Shampoo

Later we had a Noche de Hogar with a new family that just moved here from Mexico City. They are pretty much awesome. The Hermano still isn't a member and we are working alot with him. He's great. The whole family has so much faith.

Tuesday we had a Multi zone conference with the president, his wife, and the mission doctors. They yelled at us pretty good. haha. just kidding. It was a good conference. I learned a lot and have a lot to work on. Later we ate with an hermana and had some lessons. We are working really hard with an investigator to help her stop smoking. She is super great. She has had a lot of problems in her life but shes awesome. She is so strong.

Wednesday we had Interviews with the president. That went well. He really helped me understand some things. Especially that success isn't measured by baptisms. He knows that I am working hard and the Lord does too. That's what is important. Later we went to a baptism of the daughter of one of Mine and Hna Rosas converts. It was great to see that the gospel is spreading through their family.

Thursday we had planning and then an hermano came to finally fix our shower. They fixed a leak in the shower head and also put knobs in the shower so we don't have to turn the water on with pliers. haha. I think I forgot to tell you guys that a couple weeks ago they finally came to fix the boiler. So after  2 months of cold showers I'm finally able to take a hot shower. Its pretty awesome.

Friday we worked a lot with less actives. It was a pretty good day.

Saturday we found some new investigators, worked a lot with those that we have and had a really good day of lessons.

Yesterday we found 2 more familias. One with 2 kids and one with 6. So that is awesome. They are both awesome families and I'm really excited to keep teaching them. Also we ate sushi for la comida. It had avocado. I didn't die. Either I've become imune, the Lord blesses missionaries so they don't die when they are forced to eat bad things, or I was never allergic to avocado and the stomach aches i had last time i ate it were a coincidence.

Today we went to look at some good segundas (don't worry, we didn't buy much). But my companion started feeling sick so we came home. She threw up on the bus...haha I know how she feels. Been there done that. Today she is going to rest. I'm gonna see if there are some hermanas that can help us out so that i can work while she rests.

Hmm...Other news of this week...Oh yeah. Next week is transfers. I think we will be staying the same, but who knows. Anything could happen. I can't think of anything else that happened this week.

The Church is so true. It is the ONLY true church on the face of the planet. But that doesn't mean we will get saved just for being members. We have to work...HARD. Every day. But it is worth it. Keep your covenants! Say your prayers! Read your scriptures. The Lord loves you. He will help you.

Love you all!

Espero que todos estén bien!

Buenas tardes!

Facials!

Espero que todos estén bien!

This week was good, but not great in terms of numbers...for us :( There were collective weddings so the elders each had a couple that got married and baptized this week. But we didn't have any baptisms. :(

Monday nothing much happened after I wrote. We slept for like 20 minutes so that was awesome.

Tuesday was our Zone Conference. I always leave those thinking of ALL the things I need to work on. Its frustrating but good for me. I would like to challenge everyone who has a Preach My Gospel (which should be everyone...Elder Ballard says so) to do the Attributes of Christ Activity at the end of Chapter 6. HUGE EYE OPENER!

Wednesday we had a lot of lessons. SO that was awesome. We have been working a lot with Less Actives and are seeing a lot more success there. So that makes me feel good. We found a new investigator that tells us she doesn't know if she believes in God. I'm really excited to work with her and show her all the blessing she can have in her life.

Thursday we ran into an old investigator. Her name is Nayeli. We were teaching her and her 2 daughers that are PERFECT investigators. They want to be baptized and were so excited to see us everytime...and then they moved to another sector. So we gave away our best investigators. Don't worry. That happened another time in the week too.. :( No worries. We aren't getting discouraged.

Friday we finally got to visit our Convert Joel! (did I mention last week that he finally came to church and got confirmed.. I was so happy!) He's doing really good just has been sick lately and had some other things come up.

The girls Supervising the service project
Saturday we had a service project. We cleaned out a canal behind a members house so that it dosn't flood when it rains. Okay they elders cleaned and we supervised. and then we cleaned and swept the street. Then we ate hot dogs. Those are very popular here.

Sunday..No one came to church...again. even though we talked to everyonethe night before and in the morning.. 8 o clock church is hard. :( But we met a new family that moved into our area that is part member. They asked us to come over tonight to do a Noche de Hogar. I'm pretty excited.

Sorry my letters are so lame. Scott is a way better writer than I am. Good thing you have him now to entertain you guys. Love you all!

Have a great week.

BEST WEEK EVER!

Buenas Tardes todos!

This week was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better its crazy! I am feeling so good. I almost forgot what it was like to laugh. My new companion has reminded me. We have laughed so much this week. But we are also working. So that's awesome. Its kinda a new feeling. haha. The members have noticed a big change. We have one convert that's 13 years old and his mom is an investigator. When my other companion was here, he told his mom that when I leave, he doesn't want the missionaries to come anymore because he didn't like my companion. But don't worry. That's changed now!

Two American Hermanas in Tijuana! It's a first for this mission!

Monday I spent all day in a bus. On the way back to Ensenada, we watched Monsters University. It was awesome. We laughed so hard.

Tuesday we had to clean, shop, and unpack, but still managed to have some lessons.
Half Way There!

Wednesday we had a Training with the Hermanas in Relief Society on how to share the gospel. It went really well I think. They all took folletos and Libros de Mormon to give to friends. Also, it was a very special day. FELIZ CUMPLEANOS to my Hermosa Hermana!!! Also, I completed 9 months in the mission, so that's weird...We ate Oreo cheesecake that my companion made. It was super delicious.

Happy Birthday Sis!
Nine Down Nine To GO!

Thursday was planning. Went really well. Set some goals that will be challenging but I know that we can do it!

Friday we made up for a lot of lost time. Found some awesome new investigators, and had a lot of lessons.

Saturday we walked a lot and didn't find very many people in their houses. But it's okay.

Sunday. No one came to church. Even though we confirmed with everyone Saturday night and Sunday morning. :( Oh well. This week will be better. Found another new investigator. Also we talked to a guy that told us some weird things about Joseph Smith and how he and the pope had a disagreement and Joseph Smith took the names of some important people (namely Noah's wife) out of the bible. I think he was a little drunk...

This week has been awesome. I am seriously so happy again. Its so crazy how even when one companion is working super hard, if the other one doesn't have the Spirit, there is no way to have success. I kind of felt like i was dying as a missionary. I was still working hard, but lost a lot of hope in having success. It was very frustrating. But now, we are gonna see milagros! I am so excited. She almost died the day that I told her I watched Dr. Who before the mission. Then she showed me her Tardis socks. haha. The next day, when she mentioned Brian Regan, I quoted one of his sketches and she quoted everything that he's ever said. haha we were laughing so hard. It's been so great. Today we ate fries for lunch and she didn't look at me weird when I made fry sauce. haha.

Thank you so much to everyone who has been praying for me. I know the Lord answers prayers. He knows us and loves us. Love you all! So much!

Super Short

Dearest friends and family.

This week was a little better. I learned a LOT more patience, but also learned how to take control and WORK! I learned how to be 2 missionaries. Acutally it just felt like that because I've been working for 2. haha

Thursday we had Exchanges with the Sister Trainer Leader and I worked with her companion. It was so fun! Her name is Sister O and it was great. She's the greatest. Hna D worked with Hna A and later talked with the President.
Now we are here in Tijuana because we are having special changes. I still don't know who my new companion is going to be. But I know that shes a gringa... Wish me luck. haha. I'm excited.

Other than that, I don't have much news. This letter is going to be super short because nothing much happened. "We" worked really hard and are building up our pool of investigators. It'll be really good this week working with a new companion. I am so excited.

Love you all!\
